We have now received confirmation from Mastercard that the 3DS issue has been resolved.

Update

As of 09:10 BST, error volumes have dropped significantly and remained stable. However, authentication success rates have not yet fully returned to expected levels, so we are not marking this as resolved just yet.

We will provide a further update as soon as we have confirmation from Mastercard that the issue is fully resolved.

Monitoring

Mastercard 3-D Secure authentication services have recovered, and transaction authentication success rates are back to normal levels.
The issue appears to be resolved.

We are continuing to monitor the service closely while Mastercard confirms stability on their end.

We will post a final update once the incident is confirmed fully resolved.

Update

Customers may experience intermittent authentication failures when attempting Mastercard 3DS-secured transactions. This may result in some transactions being declined or unable to complete authentication.

Based on information provided by Mastercard, the issue originates within the Mastercard Identity Check (3DS) service. Mastercard has confirmed they are actively investigating the incident.

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates as more information becomes available from Mastercard.
